Young Girl in Green by Tamara de Lempicka 1000 Piece Puzzle

Perhaps Tamara De Lempicka's most famous painting, Girl in Green with Gloves, has been an icon to her artistic style and work throughout her career. Painted in 1929, the Girl in Green with Gloves displays a beautiful young woman wearing a flimsy green dress, white gloves, and a large, white hat. The sharp-edged form combined with the bold use of color render the whole strongly dimensional and modern.

About the artist: Tamara de Lempicka (1898-1980) was a Polish painter known for her distinctive interpretation of the Art Deco style. She was the most fashionable painter of her generation, and a glamour icon in her own right. Her paintings show a post-Cubist experimentation with simplified volume, whilst at the same time incorporating the rich, graphic style of Art Deco.
